About Me
I am a fourth year student at the University of Nebraska Lincoln, majoring in Marketing with a minor in Advertising and Public Relations. I'm originally from Dallas, Texas. I moved to Lincoln five years ago with my family and stayed to pursue my education. As the oldest of three siblings and the first in my family to attend college, I take great pride in paving the way and setting an example. Being a first generation has shaped how I view life and approach school and has made me very appreciative of opportunities that come my way. I value independence, creativity, and building something meaningful for myself.
Career Goals
Creativity has always been a big part of who I am. I have always enjoyed doing things in my own way, which is why my long term goal is to own my own business. After graduation, I hope to step into a creative focused role, whether that is as a creative director or working in social media and brand strategy. I am still figuring out exactly where I want to be, but I know I want to combine strategy with creativity. I am interested in building brands, telling stories that connect with people, and helping businesses grow through strong marketing.
This Semester
- I am especially enjoying Marketing 447, where I am working with team members to develop a marketing strategy for a brand.
- I am currently searching for an internship that will allow me to gain hands on experience and refine my creative and strategic skills.
- I'm completing the last of my ADPR minor requirments this semester.
Hobbies
Outside of school, I am an artist. I mainly work with oil paint and focus on realism. I love putting on a movie or show in the background while I paint. One of my goals this year is to complete one painting each month to stay consistent and keep improving. I really want to join more art shows and put my work out there. I also enjoy spending time with friends and being outdoors whenever the weather is nice. Nature is a big source of inspiration for me.
